As vehicles have evolved they have become more and more connected. The newer systems have more electronics and are more connected to the outside world than ever before. Vehicles use internal networks that are connected to wireless systems. Many cars include internet capabilities, WiFi, bluetooth and more. These are all potential attack vectors that could jeopardize the safety and security of the vehicle. This book teaches you the same techniques used to audit complex IT infrastructures and applies them to modern day vehicles. After reading this book you will be able to assess a car to determine security weaknesses in it's design. The book is broken down to different section involving different types of attacks of each component of the vehicle. You can read the whole thing or just jump to the areas that interest you. This book focuses on the tricks and techniques used to analyze any vehicle. It is not a recipe book for specific models. This allows the techniques to be applied to any vehicle. The book does not require previous knowledge of mechanics but instead focuses more on the computer science areas of attacks. Embedded system research, network analysis and wireless communications are a large focus on developing attacks. If you are a mechanic, security researcher, concerned citizen or in charge of security reviews for an automotive company, this manual will guide you and provide a great reference. Small enough to fit into your glove box or leave around your hackerspace. Since its original publication twenty years ago Rian Malan’s classic work of narrative nonfiction My Traitor’s Heart has earned its author comparisons to masters of literary nonfiction like Michael Herr and Ryszard Kapuscinski. The Lion Sleeps Tonight is Malan’s remarkable chronicle of South Africa’s halting steps and missteps, taken as blacks and whites try to build a new country. Some of the essays previously appeared in a collection published only in South Africa, Resident Alien, but others are collected here for the first time. The collection comprises twenty-three pieces; the title story investigates the provenance of the world famous song “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” which Malan traces back to a Zulu singer named Solomon Linda who recorded a song called “Mbube” in the 1930s, which went on to be covered by Pete Seeger, REM, and Phish, and was incorporated into the musical “The Lion King.” In other stories, Malan follows the trial of Winnie Mandela and plunges into the explosive controversy over President Mbeki’s AIDS policies of the 1990s. The stories, combined with Malan’s sardonic interstitial commentary, offer a brilliantly observed portrait of contemporary South Africa.

It may come as a deep shock to some but allowing for a little artistic licence, The Beautiful Black Afrikan People Went for a Walk is a truthful history of humanity made simple. The impact of the ice age on the human family has, for some time, been theorised by anthropologists and related academics. It is widely recognised as instrumental in the diversification of humanity. It corrects a plethora of racist distortions, the sum total of which result in Afrikan people being place as a sub-ordinate grouping outside the human family. By identifying Afrikan people as the first inhabitants of all parts of the world and the source from which all other branches are descended, it places them in their correct historical and geographical position as the mothers and fathers of humanity. By exposing new minds to this truth of history, Afrikan people are presented as a critically important part of the human family and the process of dismantling racism from its root is begun.
